Trident [collab with djippy]

By Kedbreak136 on March 8, 2026 10:29 pm

This is a collab with djippy! I provided some stoner/heavy rock riffs and he recorded some very cool drums. And then we went on our ways and mixed these ingredients on our end, resulting in pretty different results.

There are some things i am quite happy about this track:
1. Collab with djippy! heart
2. Some cool riffs that I like, may bring to the band. RATM influence for sure
3. The vibe is about revolution, but not to upfront
4. The high moments are really chaotic and the mix is messy but that kinda works

However a few things could need some polish - the guitars are not very tight. It gives a jam feel which is not bad but that'd be something I'd want to fix. In addition, the second quiet section with the brass and drone would benefit from something, maybe spoken words.

But hey that is how far I'll go this week.

fun collab!

have you ever heard of the band "clutch"?  parts of this reminded me of tight like that thought you might dig heart

Very cool!

Yes! Merci pour cette collab et tes bonnes drums. Desole d'avoir pris des semaines pour ca!

Sweet collab! Digging the chaos and crowd sfx. big_smile

Nice collab!  This definitely goes hard.  Some killer riffage, raw beats, and I like the sound effects like the sirens.

oooh emily is right, definite clutch vibes!  With djippy's mix it gave me some black keys feels.  The guitars and drums sound great and I'm def hearing that RATM influence with the riff.  Excellent work both of you!

Oh wow! Heard djippy’s mix on the stream tonight, and so awesome to hear your take on it - sort of a dark urban rock feel. Fantastic!

Can hear you two having a great time, nice collab

hell yee this is sick \m/

sweet, i need to do some collabs this year.  i think this is the best way to go for WB—toss back and forth some stems, and see where both sides graft into their separate ways.

this is so awesome what the HECK are these 1/8th note kick drums?!  HOT!!!

i only hope the collab was 100% coordinated in Français

I want to hear Ozzy Osbourne singing over this in Français

hello, i would like to apply for the wangus scholarship

This is soooo gooooood! Great heavy riffs and djippy's drums are phenomenal! When are you forming a band? The two of you opening for Clutch would be so.....clutch!

That guitar riff is awesome with the unruly crowd clamouring in the background, great collab, these drums are so nice, such energy to them.

Hell yeah.  RIFFS. Big SPACES.  sirens.  The drum mix sounds badass, some heavy parallel squashing?

Yeah those drums sound great! You have brought the traditional Ked storytelling to this one. I look forward to hearing djippy's version too, thank you so much cheers to collabs

heck yeah!

awesome work, very cool revolution energy from the instruments and the samples. I feel like you did pretty well regarding being tight with the raw material... you can only get it tighter if you.... both play tighter ?!?!?!? there's no other trick to it I guess hahha

the loud and crazy parts around ~1:30-2:40 are the best I think, when u go bonkers with the solo and the crowd noises.

This is killer! I love the samples and everything

siiiiick collab!

oh fuck yeah

Definitely liking this one better, the cinematic element adds so much.
